Ren. Mem. Robin Musolino

This is a picture of the plant that Jim Clarkson has named after Robin.   It's a first bloom seedling of a cross Jim made about five years ago.  It is a primary cross of Renanthera  bella (which was first described as a new species in 1981) and Renanthera imshootiana ( which was first described as a new species in 1891).
Over the years, Jim has used the flasks of this cross in many of his lectures on deflasking, giving the deflasked seedlings to those present at these lectures.  Fortunately he was wise enough to keep a few for himself.  Jim says that he is in the process of sending one of the plants to Robin's family.
I can't wait to see what happens when it grows up, looking forward to some AOS awards on this one.
